Furthermore, Barney was Chairman of Ninham Shand Consulting Engineers (Pty) Ltd. and an Executive Director of Development Services of the FABCOS Group as well as the Executive Director of Shikisha Tyre and Rubber Company, a black empowerment entity established in partnership with Goodyear SA.

Thandi Ramathesele obtained her BA in Communication at the University of Fort Hare in
1984. She continued her academic career by completing additional courses in the field of Media and Communications. Her work experience includes past Chair and
current Board memberships of Newtown Film and Television School and various Executive positions within the SABC. Thandi is Chair of the Board of Unipalm and participates in the company’s Remuneration Committee. Although a non-executive member of the Board, Thandi has played a valuable role in steering the Board through
Unipalm’s growth phase.
Peter Hendricks

Peter Hendricks is one of the founding members of Unipalm and steers the company’s
Remuneration and Social and Ethics committees. Peter has been successfully involved in the retail industry since 1980, managing his family’s business interests in industries spanning supermarkets, fuel, hotel and entertainment. Peter’s recent business activities include property development initiatives and opportunities.

dynamic business leaders. Unipalm’s growth and success can easily be traced back to Ragi’s in-depth experience in corporate finance which entails the structuring, negotiating and funding of transactions like joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions as well as investments and project finance.
Salman Kajie
Salman Kajie
Salman Kajie is an Executive Director of Unipalm Investment Holdings. He has 12 years’ worth of international business development experience, having been instrumental in the commercialisation of foreign and domestic direct investment in South Africa. He holds directorships in numerous companies within Unipalm’s local and international business portfolio. Salman completed a MBA (cum laude) from Stellenbosch Business School and a degree in Political Science from the University of Cape Town. He has also conducted studies internationally at SDA Bocconi in Milan, and Harvard Kennedy School in Massachusetts. Salman was previously Wesgro’s Head of Investment, and commercialised the InvestSA operations in the province.
