UniPalm has donated to the following charity organizations based in the Western Cape.

In April 2014 Unipalm engaged with the Groote Schuur Hospital Facilities Board, MedMetrics, SA Biomedical and Advanced Orthopaedics to help alleviate the long waiting period for hip and knee disorders including the implantation of hip and knee prosthetics. There is currently a backlog of arthroplasty procedures in the Western Cape with a long waiting list.

Major factors in increasing health and wellness, are access to sufficient resources to support the health system. As Health is a "whole-of-society" responsibility, Western Cape Department of Health welcomes any contribution that helps to alleviate the burden of disease.

Unipalm has also entered into a partnership with the Grassy Park Fisher Center.

Unipalm`s management was approached in March 2014 by Mr Siva Moodley, a board member and treasurer of the Grassy Park Fisher Center for the Mentally and Intellectually Challenged. He was seeking assistance in transporting the residents on a daily basis, to the various hospitals for their appointments and for any other assistance we could provide them with.

The Center provides 24hr accommodation for its 40 resident's. The Center has been provisionally approved by the Department of Health for 50 residents. These residents are provided with three meals per day plus tea and sandwiches three times a day. They are assisted with their ablutions by the carers on duty. Residents receive visitors daily from 09h00 till 16h00.The residents are taken to the local Day hospital and secondary and tertiary hospitals daily for their appointments as needed.

Unipalm has donated a Volkswagen kombi 1.9 TDI to the Grassy Park Fisher Center and is proud to be associated with the good work being carried out there.

THE STELLENBOSCH WORK CENTRE FOR ADULT PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES - GOLF DAY 2014

Unipalm was invited to become a platinum sponsor for a golf day to raise funds for the Stellenbosch Work Centre. The Work Centre desperately need to replace the vehicle that is used to transport the workers between the Centre and their homes on a daily basis, as well as ferrying material and finished products to and from suppliers and clients .This vehicle is the lifeblood of the Centre.

The Centre has been providing rehabilitation and social integration programs to 45 persons with intellectual, mental and or physical impairments to persons aged between 18 years and 55 years for the past 23 years.

The Board and Management of Unipalm Investment Holdings Ltd are proud to be associated with the Stellenbosch Work Centre and are happy to have helped them make a huge success of their first Golf Day.
